Management James L. Worrell, JD, PRP
President & Managing Director

Jamie is a Managing Director and investment advisor for Strategic Retirement Partners in the Northeast Office. He is also the President of GPS Investment Advisors, which he founded in 2007. Jamie has built a successful retirement plan team and practice over the last 20+ years by helping employers and individuals get the most from their retirement plans and investment programs. His experience and passion is helping plan sponsors reduce their fiduciary liability and offer competitive, affordable retirement benefits while helping individuals save, plan, and invest wisely. Jamie has been recognized by PLANSPONSOR Magazine as the "2011 Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year" as well as one of the "Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisers", by 401kwire as one of the "300 Most Influential" retirement plan advisors, and by Institutional Investor News as a "Rising Star of Retirement Plan Advisors" in 2007.

Jamie is a frequent speaker and industry commentator for professional, association, and industry groups. He has been quoted in The Wall St. Journal, PLANSPONSOR / PLANADVISOR Magazines, Defined Contribution & Savings Plan Alert and in local media.

Previously Jamie was Director of Retirement Plan Consulting at Financial Architects Partners and spent seven years at John Hancock Funds. Jamie completed training and coursework through the The PLANSPONSOR Institute and earned the PLANSPONSOR Retirement Professional (PRP) designation. He is a graduate of Moses Brown, Connecticut College and Suffolk University Law School. Jamie's current community involvement includes serving as a Rhode Island Commodore, as a member of the San Miguel School Executive Director's Council, and as a member of the Neighborhood Health Plan of RI Investment Committee. He served as a Board/Investment Committee member of Blithewold and The Providence Children's Museum, and as a lay representative of the Episcopal Diocese of RI Commission on Finance. He has coached youth lacrosse and soccer. Jamie lives in Providence, RI with his wife and three children.

Marc R. Beausoleil, CFP®, ChFC®
Director of Financial Planning

 Marc is a Certified Financial Planner™ and Investment Advisor Representative with GPS Investment Advisors and Strategic Retirement Partners who works with clients to help them plan, invest, and implement solutions for achieving their financial goals and priorities. In addition, he conducts employee education for 401(k) plan clients aimed at improving outcomes and retirement readiness for client employees.

Prior to joining Strategic Retirement Partners, Marc was responsible for directing retirement plan services and relationship management for an advisor and also worked for a large national plan provider, conducting workplace education and individual one-on-one benefit consulting. Throughout a career of more than 25 years, Marc has worked in several fields, including financial management and analysis, sales, and marketing. Marc holds a CFP and Chartered Financial Consultant designation as well as his Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Examination) licenses. Marc is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bryant College with a Bachelor of Science in Finance.

Marc lives in Cumberland with his wife and has two sons who are currently living in California and Florida. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Rhode Island, Vice President of the Cumberland Library Fund, and serves his church as a committee member.

John J. Brosnan
Senior Plan Consultant

 John is a Senior Plan Consultant for Strategic Retirement Partners in the New England office. He provides ongoing service to clients and counsels them on plan design and compliance issues, developing and maintaining effective due diligence practices, and meeting their fiduciary requirements. John has 30 years of experience with qualified and non-qualified plans in the areas of plan design, administration, testing, investments and participant communications. Prior to joining Strategic Retirement Partners, John was a trust officer and retirement plan manager for Citizens Bank, Bank of America and Fleet Bank. John began his career working in various client service and retirement investment product roles at The Travelers Insurance Company.

John holds the Series 7 license (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 license (Uniform Combined State Law). He is a graduate of Bates College with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Economics.

John served as a board member of Hattie Ide Chaffee Home for two years and as a youth sports coach for nine years. John lives in Barrington, Rhode Island with his wife and their two sons.

John F. Buckley
Retirement Plan Consultant

 John is a Retirement Plan Consultant for Strategic Retirement Partners in the Northeast Rhode Island Office. He has a proven track record of forging successful client relationships through innovation and superior customer service utilizing progressive, in-depth experience in retirement services. He has an extensive background in Plan Design, Compliance, Investments, and Employee Education.

Prior to joining Strategic Retirement Partners, John worked as an Investment Advisor Representative for Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in Boston (formerly known as Longfellow Benefits). He began his career working in various financial and retirement service roles at both Fidelity Investments and Great-West Retirement Services Co., now known as Empower-Retirement.

John is a 1986 graduate of Boston College School of Management where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He lives in Walpole, MA with his wife and their 4 children.

Matt Dufresne
Investment Analyst

 Matt is an Investment Analyst for Strategic Retirement Partners in the New England office. Matt works closely with recordkeepers, fund companies, and other industry professionals.

Matt attended Rhode Island College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining SRP, Matt was an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager at the Rhode Island College Student Managed Investment Fund.

Catarina Totten
Executive Assistant

Catarina joined Strategic Retirement Partners in 2015 and has a wide range of responsibilities from general office management to client relationship management and operational support. Her role includes daily contact with plan sponsors and participants, recordkeepers, TPAs, fund companies and other industry professionals.
Previous experience includes working as a Senior Planning Assistant for over 15 years assisting financial advisors and their clients in any way necessary. She has extensive experience in private wealth management and practice management.

Shelley Meers
Relationship Manager- Operations


Shelley Meers, Relationship Manager, Operations joined Strategic Retirement Partners in 2015. Prior to joining SRP she provided similar support to GPS Investment Advisors, LLC and has spent the last 11 years in the financial services industry. Shelley has worked in the Client Service and Marketing capacity for a variety of financial institutions. She currently works closely with Plan Sponsors, Record Keepers, and TPA’s on a daily basis to ensure that all Plans are properly maintained. She is also heavily involved in the planning of seminars, networking events, sponsorship opportunities, and other marketing efforts.

In her free time, Shelley enjoys cooking, travelling, running, the beach, and spending quality time with Family and Friends. Shelley, her husband, and her son reside in North Providence, Rhode Island.

Meg Wilson
Administrative Assistant
Meg joined GPS Investment Advisors in the Fall of 2016. In her role as an administrative assistant, Meg facilitates efficient and thorough client service by assisting the GPS team in a smooth transition with Strategic Retirement Partners as well as daily office support. Her administrative work ultimately helps GPS consistently provide superior client service and attention, and will continue to as she applies to graduate school.
